Terms of Service

1. Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide information that is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account on our Service.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party. You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

2. Course Access and Use License

Upon purchase or enrollment in a course, CodeThenShip grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view the course content associated with your purchase, solely for your personal, non-commercial educational purposes.

This license does not grant you any right to resell the course in any way (including sharing account information with a purchaser or illegally downloading the course and sharing it on torrent sites). You may not reproduce, redistribute, transmit, assign, sell, broadcast, rent, share, lend, modify, adapt, edit, create derivative works of, sublicense, or otherwise transfer or use any course unless we give you explicit permission to do so in a written agreement.

3. Educational Content and Student Responsibilities

The Service provides educational content designed to teach coding and software development skills. While we strive to provide high-quality, accurate, and up-to-date information, the technology industry evolves rapidly. You acknowledge that:

• You are responsible for your own learning progress and application of the knowledge gained
• Success depends on your dedication, practice, and consistent effort
• We cannot guarantee specific outcomes, income levels, or employment results
• Any earnings or success stories shared are not typical results

4. Job Guarantee Terms and Conditions

The Foolproof CodeThenShip Method Job Guarantee: If you complete both courses (CodeThenShip and the included LaunchYourCareer bonus), build a profitable SaaS as instructed, and don't land a software engineering job within 6 months of starting your job search, we'll refund your entire purchase price. The 6-month period begins when you start actively applying for positions, not from your purchase date. This guarantee is subject to the following conditions:

To qualify for the job guarantee refund, you must:

• Complete 100% of both CodeThenShip and LaunchYourCareer courses
• Build and deploy a functional SaaS application that generates at least one paying customer
• Use your SaaS as the primary portfolio piece in job applications
• Create a professional portfolio website showcasing your projects
• Apply to at least 10 relevant job positions per week for a minimum of 3 months
• Document your job search efforts including applications, interviews, and feedback
• Participate in our Discord community at least 3 times per week
• Complete all recommended practice exercises and challenges
• Attend at least 2 mock interviews with our career coaches (if offered)

You must demonstrate genuine, consistent effort in your job search and skill development. This includes but is not limited to:

• Customizing resumes and cover letters for each application
• Following up on applications professionally
• Continuously improving based on feedback received
• Engaging in additional learning outside the course (tutorials, documentation, open source contributions)
• Maintaining an active GitHub profile with regular commits

CodeThenShip reserves the sole right to determine whether you have put in sufficient effort to qualify for the guarantee. This determination will be based on:

• Course completion data and engagement metrics
• Quality and quantity of projects built
• Documentation of job search activities
• Participation in community and support resources
• Overall demonstration of commitment to finding employment

To claim your job guarantee refund, you must submit a request within 30 days after the 6-month job search period ends, with documentation proving you met all requirements. You must notify us when you begin your active job search so we can track the 6-month period. Late submissions will not be accepted.

5. Payments and Refunds

You agree to pay the fees for courses that you purchase, and you authorize us (or our third-party payment processor, Stripe) to charge your debit or credit card or process other means of payment for those fees. All fees are in U.S. Dollars unless otherwise stated.

Our standard refund policy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. The 6-month job guarantee is separate and subject to the conditions outlined above. Please refer to our Refund Policy page for specific terms regarding standard refunds.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content (excluding content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of CodeThenShip and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. CodeThenShip makes no warranties, expressed or implied, and hereby disclaims and negates all other warranties including, without limitation, implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of intellectual property or other violation of rights.

CodeThenShip does not warrant that the Service will function uninterrupted, secure or available at any particular time or location; nor that any errors or defects will be corrected; nor that the results of using the Service will meet your requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall CodeThenShip, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of [Your State/Country, e.g., California, United States], without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.
